Audits
Your business can be formally audited to AS/NZS 4801 (or to any other agreed criteria) by a qualified and RABQSA accredited auditor. This is much more detailed than the safety assessment and safety plan. The auditor will examine documents, inspect the workplace and work practices, and talk to staff. The audit may be useful for businesses who would like an objective, third party measurement and evaluation of their safety management system against approved and recognised best practice criteria.
This kind of audit is designed for businesses who already have in place an OHS management system that is documented, communicated and implemented. Your OHS management system is compared to the elements of the Standard, and evidence is gathered to confirm conformance. A detailed report is prepared with suggestions for action.
