Contractor And Subcontractor Management
Does your business use many subcontractors? If so, are you confident that they are working as safely as you want them to?
If you invite subcontractors to do work for you, you share in their OHS liability. You can contact out the work, but it is not as easy to contract out liability. If you only engage contractors on the odd occasion, it will be easy to talk to them about how they will do the job safely. However, if you use many contractors, perhaps you could consider a more formal and systematic method of managing their safe work practices.
