TIMES: 9 am till 4 pm each day. Assemble at front door and wait to
be let in by security at 8.55 am
CATERING: Tea/coffee
on arrival & morning
tea, afternoon tea, and lunch provided
COST: $750
(GST exempt) per participant. Discounts for more than two participants
from the one organisation with a cost of $675 (includes
GST) per person. Cancellations accepted and refunds available up
to 7 days before start of course.
A $55 (includes GST) fee per person per day may be charged to transfer to another
course date once a person has commenced the course.

by cheque or EFT.
COURSE MATERIALS: Handbook, exercise sheets, handouts,
and some document templates will be provided. Just bring yourself
and a willingness to participate in this highly interactive and
practically based course.
BENEFITS: You will learn skills to make your workplace
safer: learn about WHS legislation and what it means for your workplace;
discuss communication, the role of WHS consultation and how to
go about it, develop skills for Health and Safety Representatives;
examine problem solving techniques, WHS systems, incident investigation,
risk management, monitoring of
the WHS system; conduct a WHS inspection of your own workplace
and learn how to issue improvement notices. Communication and consultation
will not just be theorised, it will
be practised confidentially in the group through listening, speaking,
negotiating, problem solving, and consensus seeking.
FACILITATOR: Phil Wadick is a highly experienced
and qualified WHS educator who aims to make WHS learning stimulating,
exciting, practical and effective.
